Fix My Ride doesn't run on a budget — it runs on people. Every oil change completed, every family greeted, every part staged and every photo taken happens because a volunteer showed up and gave their time. Without the generosity of our volunteers, this event simply would not exist. The families we serve don't have another option — and you are that option. One day of your time can mean months of reliable transportation for a family in Cooke County.
How You Can Help
Volunteer Roles
Facilitators
Keep the event running smoothly from start to finish — coordinating volunteers, managing logistics, and solving problems as they arise.
Check-In Team
Greet families as they arrive, document vehicle information, and guide cars through the service line efficiently.
Attendee Welcome Team
Make every family feel at home with warm hospitality, refreshments, and a friendly presence while they wait.
Car Show Coordinator
Organize and oversee the car show component of the event, working with participants and keeping the display area running smoothly.
Media Team
Capture the day through photos and video to document the impact and share the Fix My Ride story with the broader community.
Prayer Team
Provide prayer and spiritual encouragement for families, volunteers, and the community throughout the event.
Parts Runner
Source and deliver parts to technicians quickly, keeping the service line moving without delays.
Fuel Runner
Ensure vehicles and equipment stay fueled throughout the day so the event never misses a beat.
Car Wash Team
Give every vehicle a fresh wash before it's returned to the family — a small touch that makes a big impression.
Cook Team
Prepare and serve meals and refreshments to keep volunteers fueled and families fed throughout the day.
Entertainment
Create a welcoming, festive atmosphere for families and volunteers with music, activities, and community fun.
Mechanic Team
Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and minor repairs to get families back on the road safely.
